Let them try and make me leave a store. Go ahead Fossil...make my day.

Are we supposed to be ashamed to feed our children in the way that we choose? Is it better when parents feed their toddlers McDonalds? I find that more offensive honestly, but they aren't thrown out of establishments are they?

I agree with comments from above. In a society so obsessed with breasts and female nudity, why is it so hard for us to watch a woman using he breasts for their intended purpose. How can a society that allows things for tweens be so prudish when it comes to simple nature? People have issues.

I breastfed my daughter in IKEA, grocery stores, book stores, public markets, bus stops, the Salvation Army, planes and a million other places. Not once did anyone stare me down or look disgusted. In fact, here people give you a little smile that says "good for you mama!" There ARE enlightened cities out there!

Our sexually charged country needs to pull its head from its netheregions and remember that before there were booty shorts and too-tight t's there were infants feeding from the mother's breast. I am fairly certain we have bigger fish to fry than that of the breastfeeding mom.

So, yes, count me on the "yea" side for breastfeeding... one of the most beautiful expressions of mother-child bonds there is.

Flashing your boobs to get some beads at Mardi Gras is fine, but using them to feed a child in public is offensive to your sense of decorum? I hope you're kidding...

It's also not always possible to breastfeed and cover the baby's head with something. Some children object to having something covering their face when they are trying to eat. Try eating your lunch with a blanket on your head sometime.

Instead of, or maybe in addition to, nurse-ins, we should have a day where nursing mothers refuse to shop, eat or otherwise patronize establishments that object to nursing in public.

While I'm all for feeding our kids and comfort and convenience, I think that a little discretion is kind and thoughtful to the public at large. Should women breastfeed in public? Absolutely! With a little cover? Yes. And before you blast me - I'd just like to add that I'm no prude. I grew up in a country with topless beaches, am not afraid to bare my body when necessary and I'd show em for a set of beads at Mardi Gras.

And 2 yes votes from my son... how many does my fetus get?

I gave up on breastfeeding in public (except on an airplane, in an emergency situation) because my boy HATED being covered by a blanket, and I didn't want dirty looks from nosy strangers. Maybe if we say it's really ok for boobs to be seen in public for something other than selling beer and running shoes, we'll all be able to feel comfortable feeding our kids.

And yeah, NOT in the bathroom. Sick!

With or without a blanket for covering up.

Except for in filthy public bathrooms! There needs to be an end to that and a fine for people (restraunt and shop employees, security gaurds, strangers, etc) who insist that babies eat beside a toilet. So Gross!
