I think it's because there are elements of autism, elements of behaviors that used to be labeled as anything from "eccentric" to "very eccentric" to "downright weird", that strike

The Trouble With Rain Man

Pingback from The Trouble With Rain Man

Matt was diagnosed 15 years ago and so much has changed, and I believe it has changed for the better. People are more informed about autism. We still have a long way to go, but I've personally seen a lot of progress. I am hoping that a cause and a possible "cure" will be found one day. I know that doesn't set well with most people. I love my son and the person he has become, but I really wish we didn't have to go through all of the crap we did so he could become the kid he is today.
