If the study was done on boys I can see how getting some keeps a lid on their bad behavior. Most teen boys act out due to pent up urges. If they are getting some then they tend to hang out with the girl a lot, hoping for more! They are not out, drunk and mad, with their loser buddies daring each other to act like morons. Girls getting some will hang with the boy. Not go out to parties, get drunk whiel trying to act cool, then get knocked up. Great, I waited until college and was still a loser.

I bet I could find a study somewhere that says smoking crack makes you smart.

Or they get pregnant in high school and have to grow up fast, leaving no time for later deliquency. Sorry, I hav a hard time swallowing this one.
