He's a minor too... and she sent the pics, shouldn't she be responsible at some level, as well? Hmm, there's the free speech thing (excluding the minor child issues, of course) but I agree that he's just a stupid teenager that was trying to look tough and didn't realize the hot water he was about to be in.

16 years in prison is crazy for some dirty pics, be it they were of a minor which i do not condone, 16 years is a long time.

I think he really didn't realize what he was doing and the possible legal consequences. Teenagers aren't so good at predicting outcomes. I sure wish that my children will be a little smarter about sharing photos of their good bits. You never know where they can end up and once you hit "send" you can never get it back.

It's a tough call--a psychologist would probably need to talk to him to make that determination. He might have been trying to act tough so as not to look like the injured party, or he might be agressive and potentially violent.

Either way, I think the 16-year-old girl's parents need to have a discussion with her about her photography habits...
