First of all, I missed babe, man and dog and I am glad to be home. Leaving was hard, but once I dislodged myself and it was too late to turn back, it was really good for me. The husband not only didn't burn down the house, the place looked pretty darn fine and he did an amazing job keeping baby, dog and fish alive.
Secondly, I miss the convertible Spyder I was driving in Florida after the universe erred in my favor when the kind guy at Budget rental car gave me -- at no extra charge -- a two-seater convertible that was like a primo stereo on wheels. Oh it was delightful. My hair still has not recovered and I've got bugs perma lodged between my teeth, but it was worth it.
Thirdly, I miss Sharon and selfishly hope she moves back north someday. Oh, and Sharon neglected to tell me until Saturday that she'd won the $10,000 Henfield prize for her novel-in-progress. I was so happy for her I started crying like it was a very special episode of Little House. The woman is so fiercely talented I know she's going to be a huge art star so I already feel cool by association. Speaking of writers I know...
