Babble

Hey all, I'm a single dad and comedian in nyc ... I made some videos featuring my infant son recently, and put them around the internet, as artists are wont to do these days ... I guess I've been surprised by the amount of vitriol I've received for them. The series is tentatively titled Baby in Danger! and they were a way for me to creatively deal with the incredible anxiety associated with being responsible for another person's life. I knew when I was making them that they'd be seen as dark, but I guess I assumed that people would assume I'm a good guy who loves his son more than anything, and that these were obviously just a goof. I'm interested to hear what other parents think of them ...

I too enjoy dark humour but the second I saw the baby with the gun my insides just started squirming and I felt so uncomfortable.  I understand the point you were making but I don't quite get how filming a baby with a gun represents your anxiety over being responsible for his life.

I'm sure you're a good guy and no doubt you took at least some of the bullets out of the gun (see, I like dark humour!) but there are just too many tragedies that occur with children whose parent's don't secure their firearms properly for me to find this amusing. 

(This probably makes me a terrible hypocrite, but I loved the baby in the bath one)
