Both of our preschoolers are obsessed with ocean animals, especially "dangerous," chompy" sharks.</p><p>"Have you seen <i>Flotsam</i>?" she wrote. </p><p>"No," I replied.</p><p>"You <i>have</i> to get it," she urged, and lo and behold, <a href="http://www.ala.org/ala/alsc/awardsscholarships/literaryawds/caldecottmedal/caldecottmedal.htm"><i>Flotsam</i> is the 2007 Caldecott Medal winner</a>.</p>
