I don't understand why two parents widely reviled for their parenting strategies are giving any advice (as they clearly are here.) I think most parents have been horrified by the pressure these parents seem to putting on their oldest child (he had that test of sorts with a psychologists- on television-- and did, clearly, less than well). And now they mention math flash cards! Wait till they get into Harvard and then make a go of it before you brag about your child's aptitude, I say. Isn't that a better strategy?
And how could they have had au pairs for many years with such young children? And why was it so seemingly difficult for their child to learn French (the au pair was practicing the term "one" with him) if that was their focus. My children are the same ages and have two languages, and the 5 yo is working on Chinese. It isn't so hard. And it is nothing to brag about, as common and as sound a practice as it is.

What do these people think that their children would learn from the fact that their father, the manager of a hotel no one has ever heard of, was introduced at the opening of a pantyhose store, as the owner of the hotel and made not a move to correct the mistake?
