Bravo. This really hit home for me.
I'm on the "other" side. I'm the single mom of a seven year old girl and I've been in a serious, committed relationship for close to two years -- living together with the childless Boyfriend, that is. He recently realized that he, too, is "done." Hopefully, he'll remain in her life, too, as he makes a slow exit. It's painful. Thanks so much for being honest and open. This helps.
