I wish this was written a few months ago. That was when I decided to get a dog, or more accurately, a puppy. He was adorable, I loved him, he loved me. But it lasted two weeks. I had grown up with dogs, but never dogs with toddlers. the first thing that i learned was that potty training a puppy when you have a toddler is just not possible. Poor Theo ended up in his crate all day long. I couldn't handle doing that to him, so I called the rescue and they gave me permission to adopt him out again.
Luckily I ended up finding him a great home, and i definetly learned my lesson. for now we are pet free, and if my daughter wants to play with a dog we just go down the street to my mom's house.
