  1. We never burned any witches in the U.S.  We hung them.  One guy got pressed to death because he wouldn't confess.

  3. My parents took me to the Salem Witch Museum when I was 8.  I had horrible nightmares about being accused of witchcraft and tortured for years afterwards.

  4. I've wanted to go to the Winchester Mystery House since seeing it on "That's Incredible" in the late 70s.  Now that I have a kid, there's no excuse (other than living on the other side of North America).  I'm also planning on going to the House on the Rock when I'm in the Great Lakes area.

Great article!  One side question, though:  does the Creation Museum's exhibit on reptiles note that snakes survive by eating dirt?  If not, it's in blatant violation of Scripture.

  5. So glad you included the St Louis City Museum.  I used to live there and that place is AWESOME.  I would love to go back now that I have children!

  6. City Museum just opened their rooftop madness a few weeks ago: water features, tons of stuff to climb in/on...and a rooftop Ferris Wheel. Total insanity.
