I am sitting with laptop on knees reading this piece with tears rolling down my cheeks as I nurse my three month old son. He is my fourth child and first boy and loving him makes me heady. Thanks for thinking my thoughts.

very well written. i can't help but be saddened by your reaction to your feminist upbringing, though. that first page almost made me [a feminist who hates parents covering girls in pink but can sew, cook and crochet] close the page out of annoyance. i know i plan to teach my son to cook and clean -- you don't need a vagina do to that.

I didn't care for the writer's style. I'm not normally a prude, but the juxtaposition of raw content and explicit language with the writer's sweet awakening of love for her baby just didn't do it for me. Multiple uses of fuck and shit didn't seem appropriate and were quite distracting...
