Couldn't agree more. My childhood savior was Judy Blume. She made it OK
for me to feel awkward, embarassed, nosy...all the emotions of
childhood that grownups ignore or forget. Judy never ignored or forgot,
and it was comforting to know I was not alone-that other kids were the
same way. And for an oddball kid like me, feeling not-so-isolated was a
blessing.
