  1. I agree with you regarding the strollers.  Our travel agent told us not to bring one.  So we didn't.  We ended up buying 2 at our Disney hotel (the Contempory, we LOVED it).  We loved these strollers too, and funny thing, they ended up being cheaper than if we would have rented one.   One other suggestion--do a character breakfast.  Are they expensive??  You betcha, but worth every penny.  Our favorite is at the Polynesian.  We've been to Disney 5 times and are hopefully going back sometime early 2008.  Each and everytime we've had a blast.  I love that mouse!!!

  2. GREAT ideas !!!

SO... what's the minimum meaningful age for a Disney trip?

We went as an extended family 3 years ago, when my nephew was 2 1/2, and he really loved it (though he loved the Kennedy Space Center too), esp. the Wild Animal Park.

Is that about the earliest possible age?  (Our daughter is now 2 1/2, incidentally.)

Also, with kidlets, I HIGHLY recommend renting a condo for a week. My dad got a great deal because he works for the "travel industry" (OK, he's a pilot for UPS),  and we had to sit through a 2-hour sales pitch, but it really was great to have separate bedrooms & baths for 3 couples + 1 toddler,  and having a kitchen and living room for grownups to congregate after the kids are in bed???  PRICELESS.

We spent 3 nights in The Dolphin, and it was great fun for the adults, and it's true that the restaurants are awesome, but it was super spendy, and harder on the little guy.

I think that next year we'll be doing another one of these trips - there will be THREE 3-year-olds and a 5-year-old.

And for those grownups who still hate on Disney World... well... there's a Wolfgang Puck restaurant on the Boardwalk ........... mmmmmmmmMMMMMMmmmmm.
