feedback for "Face-Off: All-Inclusive Family Resorts"

  1. We just got back from Club Med Ixtapa with our toddler. We all had a great time. Our son was very well entertained, and I can say without reservation that BabyMed was absolutely terrific. You can drop your child off for the whole day or for short spurts--whatever you like. There are milk and snacks for kids that are available 24 hours a day. There is even a restaurant just for kids. Additionally, there are different activities for every age level. I would guess that any kid over 4 would have a really fabulous time (they get to do trapeze, learn hip hop and show off their talents on stage). There is even a nighttime babysitting club that is very reasonable in price. As for the parents, we had a good time, too. It's like camp for adults with good food. The Club Med shtick takes a couple of days to get used to, but it grew on us. The staff seemed genuinely sad to see the guests leave.

It would be a great place to go with extended family--especially the grandparents.

  2. Sorry but how many people actually have the money for 1000/night vacations with kids? Please pick a more affordable beach vacation for discussion!

  5. The rates quoted for Club Med are incorrect. We are currently offering a promotion at $888 per adult per 7 nights. Kids are $444 per 7 night stay. Even without the promotion, our rack rates start at $1200 per adult for 7 nights. I am not sure where this journalist got her information, but it is incorrect as the nightly cost would be $171 per adult with no promotion and $126 with the running promiton.
