In an interview with Barbara Walters, Kate Gosselin revealed that her kids are devastated without camera crews videotaping every aspect of their lives.
Their reality show is officially over now that Jon has forbade TLC to adapt the show to “Kate Plus Eight.” So either Kate is using her kids as pawns to get back at her ex-husband, or her kids are not doing so well. An addiction to camera crews is not exactly the sign of a happy childhood.
“They cried in the van on the way home from school the other day,” Gosselin said. “I finally admitted to them, they kept asking, ‘Where’s the camera crew? Where’s the camera crew? We miss them.’ And I said, ‘Our show is over.’ …Eight sobbing kids driving home from school.”
I’m no expert in weaning off kids of their own TV show. But I do know that children mimic their parents’ emotional state. If Kate feels empty and depressed about the end of the show, it’s no doubt that her kids would feel that way, too. “Kids, our show is over!” is not exactly the happiest way to break the news.
But chin up, kids. Mommy won’t deprive you of the limelight for too long. She’s starting her own talk show next spring.
When asked if her kids know they’re famous, Gosselin quipped, “That’s not a word we use. I don’t like that word.”
That’s a lot like forbidding kids who grow up a Beverly Hills mansion to use the word “rich.” It gives them a skewed version of reality. If kids are rich, I think it’s important for them to understand that the vast majority of the world does not have maids and Ferraris. Similarly, I think it’s important for kids who have every second of their lives videotaped to understand that almost every other family lives out their daily lives in private.
What do you think? Would it be more or less healthy for the Gosselin kids to understand that their lives are far from the norm?

Tiger Woods has so much going on in his life right now. I think it will get worse before it gets better.
The woman taken to the hospital from Tiger Woods home early this morning was his mother-in-law. She was admitted to the hospital with the stomach pains.
Yeah, I’m kind of sick to my stomach over this whole situation too.
She was released from the hospital this afternoon and returned to Tiger and Elin’s house.
I know Elin moved out so why didn’t her mom go wherever she is? Are they all planning to move to Sweden in Elin’s new house? Where are the kids and who are they going to live with? Is he going to pull a Tom Cruise and keep the kids too busy to see their mom?
Ahhh, there are still so many unanswered questions. The only thing we know is that Tiger is a big man whore.

David Letterman was spotted with his son Harry walking around the streets of New York City. It’s cold and chilly in the east, so how did Harry star warm? He wore a Boy’s TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece by North Face. This is a super warm piece that’s great for that all important winter layering. It is available directly from North Face here for $35.

Watch these gnomes go, go, go! These adorable handmade creatures go for a ride in little log racecars. And we're not the only ones who think these are super cute. Apparently so does Martha Stewart. The Gnome Racer was features in the 2009 Martha Stewart Holiday Craft Sale.
Each felt and muslin gnome is totally handmade as well as the handcut and sanded poplar cars. And the cars are finished with nontoxic paints, so no worries about icky paint germs.
