Jennifer, the editor- turned-stay-at- home mom behind Bug and the Sweet Banana, takes a comical, touching, and even occasionally irreverent look at parenting her two little ones. A wonderful read.

2. Momastery

I chose “Momastery” because a monastery is a sacred place, apart from the world, where a seeker retreats to figure out what matters and catch glimpses of God. That’s exactly what motherhood is like to me. It's also exactly like being slowly pecked to death by merciless chickens.

3. Flourish in Progress

Follow Elizabeth, a stay-at-home mom, as she "chronicles a year outside the mall." For her 30th Birthday Project, she gives up shopping for an ENTIRE YEAR. She also has a meltdown over an accordion file folder at Target in front of small children. These things may be related. Often hilarious, sometimes inappropriate, her humorous recountings of her daily misadventures are honest and relatable.
