10 Awesome Things to Look Forward to in 2014

The major events of 2013 were full of ups and downs. Marriage equality took a giant leap forward, while devastating natural disasters like the Oklahoma tornado, set many people back. It was a year of transition and change, with an overall feeling of hope in the air. A couple weeks back I heard someone label this year the year of adventure.  I’m right on board with that. It seems like an appropriate title with events taking place like NASA taking their first step towards sending people to Mars. We can also look forward to new beginnings for all the troops being sent home from Afghanistan by December 31, 2014.

My family and I are beginning our 2014 adventure by tackling our New Year’s Resolutions. Now that my daughter is older, we can all focus on doing them together as a family. The adventure will then continue to discovering new places, experiencing the unexpected, and learning something new every day.
