10 DIY Holiday Gift Ideas That Pack Positivity

What do the holidays mean for you?  Around here, we try to focus on family and making great memories for years to come.  A few years ago my siblings and I put together a simple book of photos, letters, and lists of memories for my parents.  It was a way of us saying thank you.  My parents couldn’t believe what we had remembered as children and my mother still pulls it out once and a while. She says she’s streaked the pages with tears here and there. That one gift was such a positive addition to our family heirlooms.  I still reread the letters my brother and sister wrote each holiday season.  I’m so glad we each took the time to write out some things and all we did was send it to the office supply store for binding!

My family hopes to focus this season again on gifting positivity. There are so many crafts and homemade gifts that can brighten someone’s day just by telling them how much you care. Create a meaningful gift by making something from scratch, too. Here are ways to personally tell someone what they mean to you, in the form of a gift that they’ll actually like.
