11 Children’s Books Teaching Kids About Oral Hygiene

My kids are all about their teeth right now. We’ve been losing baby teeth, talking about the tooth fairy, and recently going to the dentist (my 4-year-old just went for the first time!) Our dentist gave us a little extra nudge to do a better job on our oral hygiene all around. I’m not sure if we are horribly bad with our habits or if she just says that to everyone!

Either way, we have new fire under our gums to get in a better family routine for our teeth.

To help us get in the groove and learn more about the dental process, we’re turning to some books on the topic. I’ve found 11 excellent picture books helping get kids excited about oral hygiene and how important it is.

As no matter how often I tell them it’s important, it seems to hit home a little easier with my kids if they read about from a cartoon character ;)
