9 Trends for 2013 That Parents Will Love

I know we all said it before we became parents. We wouldn’t be like our parents before us, we would be the “cool” parents…we would be different. We would not only keep up with our kids, but we would also know what the latest trends and newest gadgets where.

Then we actually had kids.

I am still trying to figure out what YOLO means and don’t even get me started on PSY (Opa what?). One of my resolutions this year was to keep up with the latest trends no matter what. The thing is I always have my mommy-brain on, cause I’m a mom and stuff. What I saw in all these trend “lists” was about 90% of trends predicted for 2013 are just…not really for kids, or families even.  So I grabbed the best and threw it together for you. Cause I am a sharer, and also, cause cool people have friends that like the same stuff. So be my friend, and enjoy this list of nine hot trends for 2013…for parents. Now, I can be cool again. Kinda.

Held within the first month or two after the birth of a new baby, the parents invite friends and family over to "sip on some beverages and enjoy finger foods, and they "see" the new baby. Easy, breezy, and you won't have a collection of neutral colors to return.

    It's royal baby watch 2013! Just as we were wondering who she would wear for the wedding in 2011, now it's all about the baby (and her morning sickness). Boy? Girl? Who's maternity clothes will she wear? Who is designing the nursery? This baby kicked Prince Harry our of the running to be King, and all eyes will be on the expecting royal family this year.
