5 Ways to Beat your January Blues

January can be kind of a drag. If you’re like me, you’re starving because you’re on some sort of diet. Christmas is over and the snow has lost its charm, and your house looks pretty dreary with the absence of all your Holiday decor. So if you’re looking for some pick-me-ups before Valentine’s day…here are my top 5 January blues busters.

  • Watch Burning Love 1 of 5

I just watched the first season of the Bachelor/Bachelorette parody on Hulu, and both my hubby and I were ROLLING. Even if you don't watch dating shows that involve rose ceremonies, you'll like this show.

  • Bake a Cake 2 of 5

The best thing about baking a cake is that you don't get any for yourself! Haha no, I'm serious. Remember how I mentioned your New Year's diet? Well you can keep yours and ruin someone else's! But doing something nice for someone always cheers me up. My new favorite person is Lyndsay from Coco Cake Land. She made this beauty and has so many easy, fun ideas for a cake that would definitely cheer you up!

  • Watch Mr. Kate YouTube Videos 3 of 5

Need a pick-me-up in 5 minutes or less? You MUST watch some Mr. Kate DIY and Style videos on YouTube. She's so fun and creative. You'll be inspired and entertained.

    Screen-shot-2014-01-04-at-3.32.44-PM

Last week I hosted a dance off on Instagram. Watching the video submissions will make you SO SO happy. Seriously.

  • Make something! 5 of 5

Why not start busting out some Valentine's day goodies now? Seems absurd, but these sweet gold hearts make the cutest garland, or you can use them on a clip or a headband as a fun gift. Having them in your home will for sure cheer you up!
