OK. I did it. I took the challenge of representing Babble as a host for the Levi’s campaign. This took me to two posts in Chicago and Queens.
I decided going in that I would try to make something happen: I would be as kind as I could be to everyone I met. I wanted to see these people not just as nameless customers, but as REAL women: women with a desire to feel good about themselves, women with loved ones and families, women who work hard in their lives, women who wanted to shop smart and look great without spending hundreds of dollars on a pair of jeans, women who likely had been frustrated in the past while trying to find a pair of jeans that would fit.
And you know what? I loved every minute of meeting these women. Everyone was so kind and so excited to buy something new and get a little spoiled (Macy’s and Levi’s gave complimentary make-overs, manicures, fancy food & drinks). And I’m just so glad I got to play a part in helping these women to have a fun afternoon and feel great – I’m sure they deserved it.
Here are my thoughts heading into Queens!
And after the jump, here’s a video from one happy, happy Levi’s customer.
