My kids are 14, 10 and 8 years old.
They aren’t old enough to buy a “smart car” and they tend tend to be typical forgetful kids when it comes to recycling or turning off lights.
With a child in cancer treatment and mom going through stroke recovery it seems that teaching my kids to respect the environment would take a back seat.
And it did.
So it seemed wonderfully resourceful when they created “The Lorax Project”.
I had the opportunity to teach my kids something I felt was important but they could also be having fun while they do it.
Truthfully, I can show the kids the most interesting stuff and if they don’t like it, they’ll look once and never again.
It is a site that takes all of the playful elements we’re used to getting from Dr. Seuess and matches them with facts that gives kids a chance to learn about conservation without necessarily even knowing they’re doing it.
