Annie’s First Trip To Disneyland

After all of your helpful advice, we felt very prepared for our trip to Disneyland with Annabel. We woke her up early that morning by saying, “Hey Annie, want to meet some princesses?” Her shriek of excitement was adorable if not damaging to my eardrums.

The whole day went as amazingly as I’d hoped. I honestly cannot wait to take her back.

But enough of that, you need to see the pictures, because they are adorable and hilarious.

    Mama, Annie, and Gramma
My mom joined us as Disneyland, along with my cousin and her boyfriend. Everyone wanted to experience Annie's first time at the Happiest Place on Earth.
  • Hi Alice, this is Merida. 2 of 15
    Hi Alice, this is Merida.
As soon as we entered the park we ran into Alice. She was amazingly kind and asked Annie all about her Merida doll.

    Annie and Alice
Alice was the perfect girl to ease Annie into her day of meeting princesses.
  • Waiting for Merida 4 of 15
    Waiting for Merida
We'd seen Brave just a few weeks before we went to Disneyland, and Annie was so in love with it. I threw her Merida dress into my backpack, and while we were waiting in line to meet Merida she asked to wear it. Go me!

    Merida and Annie
This picture cracks me up because Annie looks pretty terrified. Yet, she still talks about meeting Merida, so obviously it's a happy memory.

After waiting in two princess lines, we were ready for some refreshments. Annie was excited because she'd just had some chocolate milk (first time ever!).
  • Daddy’s Princess 7 of 15
    Daddy's Princess
Mike carried Annie through Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
  • The Carousel 8 of 15
    The Carousel
The Disney Parks app told us there was no line on the Carousel, so we went on it...three times in a row.
  • So! Many! Princesses! 9 of 15
    So! Many! Princesses!
We took a break by the Princess Fantasy Faire, which turned out to be a smart move. Princesses EVERYWHERE. Annie about lost her mind.
  • The Throne 10 of 15
    The Throne
The Princess Fantasy Faire has events all day. We stopped by for a story from Princess Belle. After, Annie sat on her throne...she liked it, I swear.
  • Annie Meets Rapunzel 11 of 15
    Annie Meets Rapunzel
I have to say, the princesses were absolutely adorable with the kids. They never rushed any of them, and were prepared for shyness and every possible question thrown their way.

In this picture, Annie is legit pissed because Flynn Rider isn't there.
  • Tea Cups 13 of 15
    Tea Cups
After getting Annie the required personalized Mickey Mouse ears, we took her for her first Tea Cup ride. She loved it!
  • At the Parade 14 of 15
    At the Parade
The Disney Parks app informed us it was time for the parade, so we went to the route and Annie got on Mike's shoulders. She LOVED waving to Mickey, Donald, and (of course) all the princesses.
  • Family Photo 15 of 15
    Family Photo
We didn't get a family photo until the end of the day, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out (even though Mike and I are hot, sweaty, and exhausted). I love Annie's "TA DA!" gesture.
