Things That Make You Go Hmmmm

I don’t know why, but I started looking through the pictures on my phone today. I have a couple nice cameras that I generally bring with me if I think there may be photo ops. But even if I haven’t brought a good camera along, I always have my phone with me and sometimes use it to shoot pictures of those unexpected moments that creep up. However, I rarely remember to transfer those pictures to my computer. Tonight, I did.

And many some of those pictures made me scratch my head and say, Hmmm, what on earth???” Here, for your viewing pleasure, are some of those pictures that may make you laugh, may make you raise an eyebrow, and will certainly make you say, “Hmmmm . . .”

Love the pictures!! I love looking at other people’s funny pictures!! Keep up the good work!

  2. Ashley says:

Lol, the picture of Brooklyn at church is my favorite.

  3. Beaulieubunch says:

Love the pictures…especially the church one. Classic :)

  4. Pam D says:

I agree about socks and sandals and I REALLY hate socks with flip flops. Why would anyone think that would be a great fashion statement??? All these pics are adorably strange and I always have a drink on the plane or 2…I think it’s required when traveling with kids.

I have the same picture of Belle on my phone. One day my 5-year old and I were grocery shopping and she saw Belle on the store shelf. I had to take a picture when I saw where the straw was. You’d think they could find a better place to put the straw. My daughter wanted the cup, but I just couldn’t buy it for her. Very bad design.

  6. Rosstwinmom says:

I had to stop at the clown one to have a drink. I freakin’ hate those things…

  7. Frau_Mahlzahn says:

LOL — my youngest one (4) is sitting on my lap, and when she saw the picture with Brooklyn making the fashion statement, she grinned and asked: “Is that me?”

    Well, could be, could be…

I love the one where she is wearing your shoes to church, ;-) ,

    So long, Corinna

p.S.: have a good start today, all of you! Thinking about you!

  8. Jen B says:

Those were hilarious!!! Can you imagine not having instant accsess to a camera? No one would believe us if we tried to describe thses pictures without proof. :)

  9. Korinthia Klein says:

Thank you for the laugh! I needed one (or two or five….)

  10. Mel G says:

My phone always seems to fill up with self-portraits of my 8yo daughter!

  11. Stephanie says:

These are great! Brooklyn reminds me of my 4 year old. Always wearing my shoes and proud about it.

  12. Karen says:

Okay, that crocheted clown is just creepy! :)

  13. Patty Merry says:

I have a funny for you. There’s a Dawn Meehan on the new season of Survivor. I really didn’t think it was you, but had to look at the picture just in case. I think you can come up with something really funny about your own version of Survivor down in Florida, since I know you can’t take off from your kids for 3 months! Take the story idea and run with it when you don’t have anything else to blog about. Hope your teaching job is going well. Can’t wait to hear about it.

  14. Martha says:

Great shots. I too use my iPhone more than my other two cameras!
I love the giant sneaker picture!

  15. Tracy S says:

Clowns are just creepy and crocheted crowns are creepy squared!!

At least Brooklyn’s shirt was long enough to double as a dress!!

I really have no words for the Belle cup, did NO ONE in the whole process of bringing that to be, not notice where the straw was placed and think, “that’s just wrong….”??

  16. A Mother's Thoughts says:

Haha, pour comedy at it finest!! We wouldn’t be half as funny if we didn’t have our children to strive from. It looks like you daughter makes “accidents” with the marker like my daughter. It’s funny how the markers seem to attack our children! lol

  17. Glenda says:

Hey Dawn, Babble needs to update your bio.

  18. wendi says:

they could have had the straw come from bells head.

  19. Alison says:

Great pics, I love kids and the excuses they come up with as to why somethings “accidentally” happen
