Candid CameraHeather Spohr
We take TONS of video of our daughter, Annabel. TONNNNNNS. And while lots of it is silly and fun, we also take lots of candid video of her. I love capturing her when she doesn’t know I’m recording. She’s a little performer when she knows the camera is there, and sometimes I just want to get her playing with her dolls, or singing little songs. She’ll only be this little for a short time.
Capturing her on the sly has become harder as she’s grown older. She knows what the cameras look like. The good thing is this Sony Handycam has a crazy-good zoom, so I can film her from far away. This morning, Annie and my husband were playing with their guitars in our living room. I grabbed my camera and filmed them from the kitchen, and she had no idea.
If she’d known I was filming, she’d have gotten up and danced all around. Instead, I got her “playing guitar” with her daddy. So freaking cute.
