Creating Girlie Memories with the Barbie Photo Fashion Doll

photo fashion barbie

We seriously have way too many Barbies in our house. Like, WAY too many, but the girl loves them that much. I had sworn off getting or accepting any more, but when I was asked to review the Barbie Photo Fashion Doll – one of Target’s Top Toys of the season – I had to say yes because I was so curious to check out the pictures and what my girl would do with her.

The first thing I told my girl when I gave her the doll was that this one had to keep her clothes on and, no, she could not take a bath with her. Sadly, that’s the fate of most of our dolls. It took my girl just under five minutes to figure out how to turn on and take pictures with her beautiful and dark skin Barbie Photo Fashion doll. It’s that easy to use!

The doll’s pink belt is where all the action happens. There’s a small lever on the side of her waist that you move up or down to either take pictures or view them. The heart-shaped buckle is what you press to turn the camera on and there’s a tiny viewfinder on her back. You can toggle with the buttons next to the buckle to choose one of tons of fun, pink and glittery frames, backgrounds and stickers to enhance the pictures with before you take them. As you can see from the collage above, we had a blast with these and my girl posed nonstop. After all, she could see the picture I took right away since it’s immediately displayed on Barbie’s T-shirt.

One thing to note, though, is that the size of the actual pictures are too small to print. You can go to the website to download more frames and such, and also the pictures, but the size you will get is the same size they appear on the shirt. But, the fun is actually being able to project them on Barbie’s shirt either one by one or as a fun slideshow.

Check out the slideshow below to get a better idea of how easy-to-use and fun the Barbie Photo Fashion doll is. Definitely a holiday gift that will get your girls creating memories.
