Four year old Abigael Evans of Ft. Collins, Colorado is so over the election. She was on her way to the grocery store with her mom when she heard an NPR story about the election. Then she just started bawling. Her mom asked her what was wrong and recorded her response.
The video, in all its adorable sadness, shows her saying that she is just so tired “Bronco Bamma” and Mitt Romney. Then her mom tells her it will all be over soon.
WILL IT? Because it feels like it will never end. I live in a swing state, and let me just tell you, Abigael, I want to cry about it too.
But the best part of the story? NPR saw the video and apologized. This was their totally hilarious and awesome statement:
On behalf of NPR and all other news outlets, we apologize to Abigael and all the many others who probably feel like her. We must confess, the campaign’s gone on long enough for us, too. Let’s just keep telling ourselves: “Only a few more days, only a few more days, only a few more days.”
