Do you believe in ghosts? Do you think they are spirits trapped here, unable to move to the next plane? Or what if they are merely echoes of energy left from powerful events? Oh! Oh! Wouldn’t it be amazing if ghosts are actually points where time overlaps and what we are hearing and seeing is real-time interaction with people in another time? A physics problem where time is layers of an onion? What if we are the ghosts to the ghosts?!
Depending on your definition of “ghost,” it’s all just too much fun or altogether terrifying.
Welcome to the first episode of Ghost Hunting Moms! Where we think it’s all absolutely terrifying fun, just in time for Halloween. At the very least, it’s far more fun than folding laundry or demolishing writer’s block in time for the next deadline.
Our first episode takes us to a haunted law firm in Ocean Springs, Mississippi: Over 20 years, the firm employees have reported seeing a lady in white haunting their halls and offices. Renovated from an old beachside home, the woman in white has been seen roaming its rooms by numerous employees, all on separate occasions, all reporting the same details.
Stories of heavy books wedged deep into shelves falling to the floor on their own? Nothing compared to accounts of seeing a woman in a white dress sitting at desks, waiting patiently in a chair at the end of the hallway, or leaning over unsuspecting lawyers.
Mandy Boles of the Well-Read Wife joins me for this exciting new series, bringing years of casual research accumulated through her love of paranormal books and, more importantly, a brave skepticism that will hopefully keep at least one camera rolling… as it’s entirely likely that I’ll just run out screaming at the first unexplained sound.
Extra ghost-hunting points if you count how many times I say “I’m scared” and “I’m really scared” and (my personal favorite) “I’m super scared.”
We don’t pretend to know what we’re doing. This is exactly like if you and your quirky girlfriend from book group decided to hunt ghosts. We don’t have any special skills. We aren’t particular sensitive to spirits or even know how to use our equipment.
Awesome, right? Because why shouldn’t we all have some good old fashion Halloween fun?!
