June started sleeping through the night at two months old, and of course we naturally assumed it was because we were the greatest parents ever. Fast forward three plus years and our once restful sleeper now wakes up once to twice a night. See, we’re being punished for our hubris.
She complains of being afraid of the dark and asks to come into bed with us. But I have a feeling if I open that Pandora’s box, I’ll have a hard time ever getting her out. So I’ve been getting up with her at night, which inevitably leads to me spending the remainder of the night with her in her bed. It’s not a bad arrangement, really, because I love sleeping with her, but her bed is a twin and I’m not sure I’ll ever get this kink out of my neck.
She keeps saying she’s afraid of the dark, so I’ve been looking around for a nifty new night light that will help her feel more comfortable when alone in her room.
