Holiday Toys Toddlers Will Love
Most people think that toy shopping for a toddler is a cinch, but it’s actually deceptively difficult. This is because, while toddlers love to open any present, there are very few toys that can keep their interest longer than a day or two. So what toys will be a hit with your toddler and not end up gathering dust in the corner? Here are three toys my toddler, Annie, still can’t get enough play time with long after she opened their boxes.
Baby Alive Baby Wanna Walk
Annie is a fan of baby dolls, but her absolute favorite is the Baby Alive Baby Wanna Walk Doll because she can teach it how to walk! In addition to walking, the doll says more than forty phrases such as “Look at me! I’m walking!” and “Hold my hands, please.” Annie does a lot of giggling when she plays with her Baby Alive doll, and never ceases to be amused by all of the things it says. What really amuses her the most, though, is when her doll falls over. “Mama! She fell down! Ha ha!” Funny, she doesn’t find it quite as humorous when she falls down.
Lalaloopsy Interactive Doll
Lalaloopsy dolls are said to have been rag dolls that magically came to life, and Annie loves hers because it looks unlike any other doll she has. What I love about it is listening to Annie try to say “Lalaloopsy.”
“Mama? Where is my La-la-la-la-la-loo-loo doll?”
In addition to the regular doll Annie has, there is a wide variety of other Lalaloopsy dolls and accessories including the first ever interactive Lalaloopsy which talks, sings, dances, and spins her hair! I have to say, these dolls are super adorable.
LeapPad 2 Exclusive Bundle
The one toy that Annie spends the most time with is her LeapPad, which is a learning tablet that inspires kids to develop important skills including reading comprehension, vocabulary, and word recognition. It’s fun to watch Annie operate her LeapPad because she can take photos and videos, create art, play games, and even take care of her own “virtual pet” without needing any help from me!
Since Annie is princess crazy we got her the Disney Princess bundle, which comes with princess sticker sheets, princess wallpaper for the Leap Pad you can customize (Annie chose Belle from “Beauty and the Beast”), and a carrying case with all of the princesses on the front. Annie loves it, and especially loves being able to be on her own age-appropriate tablet while all the adults around her are on their devices.

Oh pretttttty please let Annie draw my name to win the Leap Pad or ANY toy. I need to be a cool auntie and my niece Paisley is due in January. <3

Annie please help me be a cool 1st time auntie by picking me!! My niece, Paisley, is due in January! Pretty please? I think Rigby would say yes! <3
My nieces would love this! They do like Lalaloopsy. That one I do not get. I find it a bit ugly. But, that being said, I bought one for them last year, and bought one for an “adopt a family” this year. Kids must like them.
I would like to nominate my school, who adopts many families every Christmas. I always buy a gift, but I know they would love more items. The need is sometimes greater than those willing to donate. The school is Lathrop R-II elementary in Lathrop, MO
My youngest would love the leap pad.
I’ve got some princesses over here who could use some internet Santa help under the tree! we love Leapfrog stuff!
My son would live this!
This would be great for my son!
So if I don’t win, you’re saying I should get my 3yo the LeapPad so I can keep the iPad that is mine and actually get to use it?! p.s. pick me :)
I would love love this for my kids.
I would say Jeneece Place, It was built by Big Jeneece Edroff she raised all her money via pennies, built a house to allow families like mine to have a place close to the hospital in a city where there was none, they opened the doors in January and we were the first residents in room 1, they just happened to open when we were shipped out of our hometown, Jeneece has done so much to make her place a home and even has a “Little Jeneece place”(My 5 year old is named after her) in the backyard.
I will look into this walking doll, my toddler says “mama, I fall up” when she falls. For the life of me I can’t get her to say fall down. Anything that may help ;)
I have a little gal who would LOVE a LeapPad!
I’d love this for my two year old!!! I’d love something she can use for years to come and will hold her attention longer than a few days!!
My daughter would love one of these! Especially with the princess theme.
My granddaughter would love this gift. We love Leapfrog products!
My daughter would love to get this for Christmas.
There is a charity called Basket of Hope that gives baskets to kids who visit hospitals all the time, have difficult medical problems. Sometimes these baskets are delivered by members of the NFL. The basket is full of toys for the child but it is also delivered with a tote bag for the parents. When Joey received his basket and I received a tote it was filled with an inspirational music cd, inspirational books, a portrait gift certificate and a journal that I could write stuff in. I felt so blessed to receive the basket/tote.
