Hot Chocolate with a Werther’s Caramel Twist

I’ve written before about my passionate love for the combination of Chocolate and Caramel.

It’s one of those things that I just can’t turn down – rich chocolate combined with smooth buttery caramel – mmmmmmmmmmm

I don’t drink coffee, and as a general rule I don’t like hot drinks.

However.

HOWEVER.

I have a weakness for hot chocolate – good, rich, creamy, soul soothing, heart warming, toe tingling good hot chocolate.

Perk up that hot chocolate with Werther’s Chewy Caramel and I can’t say no, I might even whimper with pleasure.

Take a moment and close your eyes and just imagine rich creamy hot chocolate sliding down your throat, now imagine that rich, velvety hot chocolate paired with buttery caramel.

This caramel hot chocolate recipe will make even the dreariest winter day a delicious one.

You can use your favorite packaged hot chocolate mix, top it with whipped cream and melted Werther’s Chewy Caramels for a quick and easy treat, or you can make homemade hot chocolate, which is my preference.

Hot Chocolate with a Werthers Caramel Drizzle

  • Your favorite hot chocolate mix – or this homemade one, if you’re a true connoisseur
  • Melt 4 or 5 Werther’s Chewy Caramels (per hot chocolate) with a tsp of water – stirring frequently until melted
  • Place a Werther’s Chewy Caramel in the bottom of your mug and pour hot chocolate into the mug
  • Top your hot chocolate with whipped cream or marshmallows and then drizzle the melted caramel over the hot chocolate.

Do you have a favorite Caramel pairing or winter beverage that makes your toes curl?

A big thanks to Werther’s for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
