How did my kids grow up so fast?

I’m REALLY having a hard time with this. And the realization hit me right over the head when I noticed just how much their TV program selections have changed in the past few months. What happened to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse? So long Special Agent Oso. It was nice to know you, Chuggingtown. My kids have a date with….yep, Selena Gomez. Now it’s Wizards of Waverly Place, Kickin it, and the beloved Shake it Up. When did my kids turn into pre-teens?? AHHHHHH.

Here’s the deal. The Dish remote is super easy to maneuver. So my kids have started to record their own shows. I used to choose the shows for them. Sadly, I had it all wrong. Thankfully, Dish stepped in and let my kids record with ease. I’m still in charge, though. They have to finish their homework and bathe before the TV gets turned on. Who’s the boss now?

Here are my kids’ top picks for must watch shows:

Kickin It: This show baffles me a bit. It revolves around a Dojo and it rivets my kids to no end. I can’t figure it out. Is it the martial arts, the goofy kids or the Sensei? I couldn’t tell you.

Wizards of Waverly Place: They are kids, but they are also wizards. They own a pizza shop and their parents don’t let them perform magic. But they do anyway.

The pride and joy in our house? Shake It Up. This show is totally confusing to me. Most of the show is about actresses pretending to be kid dancers on a TV show on a TV show. The thing is? My kids dig it. Especially the opening song that I cannot get out of my head, EVER. “SShhhhhake it up….” You get the picture.

Thank you Dish, I think. Bring back Mickey Mouse! PLEASE!!!

A big thanks to DISH for sponsoring this campaign. Click here to see more of the discussion.
