I Don't Care. Vote Anyway.

So you think because you’re not in a swing state, your vote doesn’t matter.

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

You are in the political minority in your state/county/city and think because of that, your vote doesn’t matter.

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

You think all the candidates are idiots, liars, and catering to people just for votes?

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

They now require you show ID in your state and this offends you.

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

No one running reflects your moral, spiritual, or political beliefs.

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

You don’t see any difference between any of the candidates.

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

You feel hopeless about it all (trust me, I do too, quite often).

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

The electoral college makes it all pointless.

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

It’s raining.

I don’t care. Vote Anyway.

….

Here’s the thing, folks: the truth is, it does matter. Each vote matters. Your voice matters.

And if you are not a white man, someone fought hard for your right to vote. Someone that came before you believed you and yours mattered and that you should get a say.

So swallow your frustrations and your pride and your fear and go to the polls. Cast a vote.

Because it matters. It really, really matters.
