If I Were Going Back To SchoolAshley Hackshaw
I’m not going back to school….but I can dream about it right? Now that my daughter is off to kindergarten this year, I keep having flashbacks of back-to-school shopping. I remember begging for Gap and Guess clothes (and getting generic instead). I thought the best day ever was when my mom bought me my horse Trapper Keeper. Does anyone remember that store Units from the 80’s? I had a few pieces from there that were interchangeable into at least 400 outfits.
Below is my back to school list as an adult. I don’t NEED these things….but they would make school so much more fun.
So here’s a question: what products do you remember from back-to-school shopping?
For the books I don’t have….. 1 of 11I love the neon colors of these satchels from J Crew. Pricey, but fabulous.
Flourescent satchel via J Crew. (Price: $170.00)
To replace the stuff my mom gave away…… 2 of 11Can I please have my horse themed Trapper Keeper back? I know my mom gave it away without telling me. .
80's Trapper Keeper via Like Totally 80s. (Price: Definitely Priceless)
To replace my tabloid magazines….. 3 of 11The covers of these classics make me want to throw out my Vanity Fair and get back to basics!
Hardcover Leatherbound Classics via Barnes and Noble. (Price: $18.00)
To hold my milk money….. 4 of 11I can share with my daughter right? The cutest for holding lunch money. I had one of these growing up. I never had any money though. And my lunch money was a lunch ticket....so maybe this would just hold my bubble gum flavored lipgloss.
Keroppi Coin Bag via Sanrio. (Price: $14.75)
For dressing up…… 5 of 11These get the gold medal. The perfect Converse. I was a tomboy so I'd be staying true to myself.
Girls Gold Glitter Converse via J Crew. (Price: $60.00)
For bling….. 6 of 11My daughter already has a pair of these personalized leggings.....but we'll keep buying them until we outgrow the sizes. I used to have personalized pencils in grade school. Blinged out leggings are so much better.
Personalized leggings via Paperlili. (Price: $45.00)
To support handmade….. 7 of 11Cutest hoodies. Ever. And handmade! I'd be cute and sophisticated all at the same time.
Brilla Hoodie via Evy's Tree. (Price: $44.95)
For my BFF…… 8 of 11Secret message pens for passing notes.....and not getting caught. Less detention is key.
Pens via CB2. (Price: $7.95)
For playing dodgeball….. 9 of 11I'd need these for gym class....and for signaling the Mars Rover. Dodgeball scares me. Do they even allow dodgeballl anymore?
Asics Gel Noosavia Lady Foot Locker. (Price: $100.00)
For nostalgia….. 10 of 11Because my daughter won't wear them.....so I'll wear them. Saddle shoes rock. Although they only rock now that I'm an adult. I refused to wear them too when I was younger.
Shoes via Free People. (Price: $69.95)
For awesomeness….. 11 of 11This disco ball helmet is just a placeholder for the sweet Vespa I'd want. Assuming I'm allowed to drive to school. When I finally got my Vespa, I'd have to make this helmet too. Is it even street legal?
Helmet Tutorial via Instructables. (Price: Around $4599.00 for a Vespa, Price varies for DIY helmet supplies)
