Kristen Stewart Cheats on Robert Pattinson: 7 Other Hollywood Affairs That Began On Set

Say it ain't so!

By now you’ve surely heard the devastating news.

K-Stew was caught cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson.

Oh, you thought I was referencing the Colorado shootings? Nay, my friend, nay. America has apparently moved on and is now grieving the broken romance of Bella and Edward.

The young actress was caught in what Us Weekly calls a “series of steamy rendezvous” earlier this month with the director of her latest flick, Snow White and the Huntsman.

At 41, Rupert Sanders is twice Stewart’s age and just happens to be married … with children. To add insult to injury, his wife, British Vogue model Liberty Ross, 33, plays Stewart’s mother in the movie. In fact, the two were just photographed together at the London premiere of the movie in May, around the same time Stewart was getting on her costar’s husband.

In a few short days the young star has fallen from Hollywood’s highest paid actress to its second most famous homewrecker (who is the first most famous?!). So while much is being made of the indiscretion, mostly because Stewart cheated on boyfriend, Pattinson as opposed to the fact that these married father of two cheated on his wife, this certainly isn’t the first time two Hollywood types hit it off on set and had an affair, and it won’t be the last.

Below are 7 other Hollywood affairs that began on set and rocked the world. Did you guess the first most famous Hollywood homewrecker? Of course you did!

Denial, denial, denial. The beginning of this relationship was marked with denial, but the world and Jennifer Anison knew better: Brad Pitt cheated on America's sweetheart with Angelina Jolie. The couple still denies that any hanky panky went down on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and yet Angelina once let slip that it's her favorite movie because it's the movie during which the two fell in love.

Second only to Brangelina is the couple that started the merging nickname craze when news of their on set affair broke. Sparks flew between Bennifer on the set of the movie Gigli. She was married to back-up dancer Cris Judd. As the Huffington Post reports, 3 days before J-Lo filed for divorce she was already introducing Affleck as her boyfriend.

It's not a secret but not very well known either. One of the best marriages in Hollywood began as an on set affair. Yup. Tom Hanks was married with children when he met Rita Wilson on the set of the movie Volunteers. She was also married. However, in an issue of Esquire magazine the actor opens up about the affair. "Rita and I just looked at each other and — kaboing — that was that. I asked Rita if it was the real thing for her, and it just couldn't be denied." Commenting on the affair, he adds, "Well, yeah, I did happen to be married at the time. And there's nothing to celebrate about that."

This ultra private couple allegedly hit it off on the set of the movie Dream House wherein they play a married couple. Only problem with the on set romance? She was engaged to longtime boyfriend (of nine years) and father of her son, director Darren Aronofsky. The timing of his split with his girlfriend of seven years was also murky. Either way, Craig and Weisz married in June of 2011 after a brief and quiet courtship.

It should come as no surprise that one of the world's most infamous marriages began as an affair on the set of one of the biggest movies of its day, Cleopatra. Taylor, 29 at the time, was freshly married to actor Eddie Fisher, whom she had stolen from Debbie Reynolds. Burton was also married but that didn't stop this duo from falling in love. The scandalous affair of Liz and Dick made news around the world, much the same way the Brangelina scandal did in 2005. Once the movie wrapped, Taylor made Burton husband number 5.

Bogey and Bacall, one of America's favorite Hollywood couples met in 1944 on the set of To Have and Have Not. She was just 19, he was 45 and married. Their affair, as were most in those days, was very quiet. They reunited on screen in The Big Sleep. Bogart was said to be still torn between his marriage and Bacall. However, in February 1945 Bogart and his wife Mayo Methot were divorced. Just months later he married Bacall. She was Bogart's fourth wife, it was her first marriage.
