So I’m knee-deep in organizing week, and I’m realizing that we have more tool chests than we have tools. And we have a lot of tools. However, in keeping with pathetic stereotypes, I have not developed any actual skills to use any tool beyond a hammer, so I have little use for a tool chest. Or so I thought. And then I thought about a different way to keep all these spices that I’ve acquired.
In our old new house, we had a spice rack. In this new old house, we don’t. In fact we don’t have much storage space for anything (I’ll be all over that fact in the next post), so the numerous spices I have just don’t fit in around here. Therefore, I decided to take a tool box and pack them up.
My spices + this Husky 22 inch Cantilevered Organizer($29.97) = LOVE.
That led to three tool box projects. This story is best told in slide format.

So there you have it.
Three non-tool tool-box projects. Muy organization. Total buy-in from the kid. In fact, he thinks this was all his idea…and, well, he’s basically right.
Oh and P.S. What is it about boys and boxes? It’s a whole thing. One of two things. 1.) If they can make a sandwich out of any food, they will, and 2.) If they can put anything in a box…or lots of things in lots of boxes…they’re completely happy. So here’s to happiness.
