I have always told my children, “If you don’t love yourself, how can you expect anyone else to love you the way you truly deserve?”
That’s why I believe this Valentine’s Day, and all year long, you need to BE YOUR OWN VALENTINE!
Here are my top 12 ideas to help you treat yourself to some “TLC” February 14th…and the other 364 days of the year, too.
Give yourself the gift of exercise. A healthy heart loves all the more.
Give yourself the gift of beautiful blooms or a lucky bamboo plant to brighten and enlighten your day.
A bubble bath is a decadent gift that you should definitely indulge in along with a scent tailored to your hearts' desire.
Light a candle. The flickering flame will lull you into a state of peaceful meditation.
Pour yourself a glass of wine and stream some music to underscore your reflections about life and love.
Your feet work hard for you. Bathe them in loving scrubs and lotions to reinvigorate your step.
Inspire a fresh outlook on life with new or refreshed hair color.
Your hands aid your conversation. Fine tune their message with gel color that will speak volumes.
Just because you've always done your makeup one way doesn't mean it's the only way to do it. Play with your look by experimenting with color. You may find an even brighter you in the mirror.
Give yourself the gift of laughter. A snicker, a chuckle, a guffaw are all music to the soul.
Treat yourself to dinner. Order in a favorite meal and nourish your heart.
