One thing I like about Instagram and blogs is that they give you a chance to see real people wearing fun clothing while doing everyday things. Yes, most fashion bloggers LOOK like models, but there are still other curvy and fashionable people out there, doing things other than posing for a fashion photo, wearing clothes I might like to wear.
So, with that said, I thought I’d share a few things I’ve gotten for MYSELF this fall. They are all pretty inexpensive, 1. Because I don’t have much money, HA and 2. Because I’m still losing baby weight. My fat pants are too big but my regular pants are still too tight. So I’ve been shopping a little more than usual, to keep my spirits up and help me stay motivated to kick off the last few pounds. I’m showing you how the models look in my clothes and how I look in my fall wardrobe of sorts! I figure if I can wear it, you can too.
Hungry Like a Wolf Skirt 1 of 5
I've got HIPS people. Not like the skinny girls who say, "oh look at my hips!" but their thighs don't touch. So this skirt was a risk, but it's surprisingly flattering! Or at least I think so. My wolf is just larger than her wolf...haha. I love it's mid-calf length, perfect for the colder months. I opted not to wear it with a crop top, but you know, that's me. You can also see my dance inspired by this skirt here.
Banded Arm Leopard Sweater 2 of 5
I wear this puppy like 2 times a week. It's cuddly, it's easy, and it's animal print. It doesn't cling to my stomach and it doesn't ride up on my hips. I love it! Haha, in this picture I'm consoling my little Spider web model, you can see her Spider Web costume here!
Floral Smock Dress 3 of 5
I try to stay away from maternity looking clothes so close to just having had a baby...but I made an exception for this dress, that I wear more like a shirt. I just love the pattern! I wear it with some shiny leggings that I actually really love, and I usually put a jacket with it to give it some shape.
Houndstooth Skinny Jeans 4 of 5
I got these at Forever 21, and it was like a treat for me because after I had my baby I was too big to even fit in the largest sizes at Forever 21. Which isn't that hard to do, but it still made me kinda bummed. These are almost too big now, but I still wear them weekly. For a printed pant they are very flattering! I also LOVE that peach Piko Shirt, it's so freaking soft and flowy!
Chunky Knit Cardigan 5 of 5
This is one of those things that I think looks better on me in person than in pictures. Then again, maybe I'm in denial. Ha, I really like a thick knit, I mean, what's better than a chunky ol' grandpa knit sweater? I love how long this one is so I can wear it with my pants that are too tight without having to worry too much about it. Haha
