Nine Awesome Learning Apps for Back to School

Now that summer’s coming to an end (at least up here in the Northeast — I know my southern friends are back in class already) I’m thinking it’s time to ramp up the educational activities around this house. A summer of outdoor time and good old-fashioned loafing about was just what the kids and I needed, but now it’s time to get serious about learning.

However, a little fun never hurt anyone, so we’ve been experimenting with these learning apps for the iPhone and iPad. My kids are naturally attracted to these gadgets, and with apps like these, they’re also getting a bit of learning in while we take one last road trip before the fall.

What are your favorite educational apps? I’d love to add to our collection!
