I am fascinated by Contemporary Art because everything is so fresh and new. You really feel as though you are seeing something for the very first time, and that’s because you are. When Art Los Angeles Contemporary rolled through town, I jumped at the chance to view the curated works. But I wondered what my five year old thought…because the purest eyes are the youngest and most honest.
What is Contemporary Art? According to Susan Rubin, author of Breaking the Rules, it’s “anything. Whatever an artist feels like doing, it may be a performance piece, a video with sound, or even a painting of a recognizable subject on a canvas that hangs on the wall. Or something beyond the imagination that has never been done before. Artists are constantly creating new works that break the rules.”
Come along as Will takes you on a ride through the world of art as only a five year old can see it. If you are interested in any of the works, click here for details on the artists. Viva los art!
