Perfect Easy Weekend Treats: Mini Cinnamon Roll Recipe

I’m of the belief that you can call your cooking homemade if  if you turned your oven on. I mean, you are cooking it. You are cooking it inside an oven.

If you added ingredients to said creation cooking in said oven- watch out  great chefs of the world. You are a culinary genius!

Mini Cinnamon Roll Recipe

It takes just a few minutes and the whole family thinks I’m a baking rockstar. These yummy rolls on a plate will satisfy any marauding gangs of children you may have roaming your home.

So easy!!

Mini Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rolls

1 cup finely chopped pecans

2 sticks butter

2 tablespoons cinnamon

½ cup sugar

½ cup light corn syrup

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375º.
  2. In a saucepan, melt one stick of butter, and then add the corn syrup, pecans, and vanilla. Stir until combined, then remove from the heat and set aside.
  3. Pop open the first can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and roll out flat, mending seams if needed.
  4. Soften the butter and spread half of it over the dough.
  5. Mix together the cinnamon and the sugar and sprinkle it over the buttered dough.
  6. Roll the dough into a long roll, rolling toward you.
  7. Grab a knife and cut the roll into slices around ½ inch thick.
  8. Put around ½ – 1 teaspoon of the corn syrup/pecan/butter mixture into each muffin tin. (It’s awesome if you have mini muffin tins, but if you don’t, it’s not that big of a crisis.)
  9. Place each round of dough on top of the corn syrup/pecan/butter mixture in the muffin tin.
  10. Repeat with the other can of dough.
  11. Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until golden brown. Then invert onto a plate and wait no more than a minute for hungry children to find and eat them all.

Thanks very much to Pillsbury for sponsoring this post and for providing Pillsbury products for us to have some fun with. I found lots of fun recipes that I’ll be making  homemade (winks) on the Pillsbury site. Be sure to go check it out!
