Xbox 360 And Fitness Resolutions

By Monica Vila |

Every year millions of Americans include weight loss as one of their key New Year’s Resolutions. Inevitably gyms from Los Angeles to New York sign up more members in January than at any other time of year. And sadly, most of us will start out with a bang and arrive to December 31st with yet another great pledge to lose weight as “one of my key resolutions of the New Year.”

The cycle has repeated itself so many times that it is no longer acceptable. Therefore, after a few test months with the Xbox 360 and  Nike + Kinect  I have decided to save my resolutions for other worthy goals (be kinder to my MIL, learn Mandarin, master WordPress among others) and let Nike+ Kinect lead the way to my fit, healthy self!

It has been great and I am here to tell you that whatever your fitness goal, Nike+ Kinect Training will give you the tools to get you there. Through the Kinect technology which recognizes your movements via video camera, the personal trainers within the experience can see how your body moves, assess your physical strengths and athleticism, identify areas for improvement, and create a personalized workout plan to help you achieve your personal best.

Yet what seals the deal for me is the real-time feedback which not only motivates but makes sure positions and movements are correct and the custom program that help me evolve at my pace, helping me get fitter, faster and stronger.

Stay tuned as my next post will include before and after shots of yours truly — a first ever :-)

What about you, have you tried using your Xbox 360 console for awesome exercise when the kids are not around?
