Store Bought Cake Makeover

Throwing a birthday party during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays can be difficult due to time and budget constraints. It’s still important to make your birthday guy or gal feel special though. Alleviate some of the stress surrounding a holiday birthday by giving a store bought cake a makeover! An easy alternative that will save you time and money. The 36th Avenue turned a plain chocolate Costco cake into this beautiful masterpiece by simply adding colorful sprinkles and an easy DIY cake topper using wooden skewers, ribbon and tulle.

You could also add ribbon and gumballs to a store bought cake like this Instagram birthday party cake at Anders Ruff or small toys for decoration like My Small Potatoes did for this Race Car themed birthday party. Get creative and have fun!
