Which is to say, since she couldn’t be there she hoped it wouldn’t be awesome, BUT OMG IT SO WAS.
(Sorry, kid. If it helps dull the pain, keep in mind that legally-speaking you *did* have school to attend that day.) (No? That makes it worse? Salt on the wound you say? Umm, OOPS?)
The party happened Friday in one of the giant Ballrooms at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. And that’s the one and only time you’ll ever see me use “Ballrooms” and “Gaylord” in the same sentence and NOT make some kind of obnoxious crack, because at heart I’m an eleven-year-old boy with very little impulse control. As you’ll see from the photos (and video) below, it was a fairly spectacular event – complete with Seussian decor, drinks, and entertainment (I LOVE YOU, JOE JONAS! CALL ME!), and a visit from the Lorax himself. Try to contain your jealousy, folks, it’s not becoming.
Note: Apologies in advance for the fuzzy-ish quality of these – they were all taken with my cell phone, and I’m of the mind that the best camera is the one you have on-hand, know what I mean?
