I’ve been really enjoying spending time getting to know Disney’s Story app. It’s surprised me with how intuitive it is and how easy it makes it to turn snapshots into interactive stories that I can share with my family and friends. And it’s turned in to a fun activity for my daughter and I — we quickly realized that we can storyboard her imagination, which is kind of priceless for both the experience today and the memory later.
This Coachella album is one of my favorites, and I didn’t change a thing — the moments the app had collected got the memory so right I didn’t even need to rearrange it. (See if you can spot Mike Ness singing Story of My Life on stage with Social D.)
Story was practically built to memorex your trip to Disneyland. Dee and I had a great time when we got to go with the Babble team in May. You might recognize some familiar faces in this one…
I’ve even used it to capture a sick day – something I didn’t even realize I’d have any interest in remembering whatsoever. (Don’t worry, it has a happy ending.)
What stories do you have locked away in your iPhone waiting to be told? I’m liberating them (and my hard drive space) one by one, and I hope you’ll join me and share yours in the comments. If your kiddos are tablet-friendly I highly recommend letting them take the app for a spin — Delilah and I have been having a great time making up our own little stories together, it’s a great activity for the days when it’s too scorching for us to be outside.
