The Rich Poor Phenomenon

Today I just have a simple question.

Why is it that when you have five hundred bucks in your wallet, you feel rich. You feel like you own the town and that you can do anything you want.

But when you have five hundred bucks in your bank account you feel poor and like you’ve gotta pinch those pennies or you might end up in a world of hurt real quick.

And why is it that when you’re holding a hundred dollar bill you feel like a high roller.

But when you’re writing a check for a hundred dollars to the appliance repairman, you feel like life is about to end?

And why is it that when you find a dollar on the sidewalk you feel like the luckiest schmuck on earth.

But when your friend offers to give you a dollar to do something stupid, it just ain’t worth it?

Just wonderin’.
