The Story of Her First Guitar Lesson

Guitar Lessons

Last night was my daughter’s first guitar lesson. Nothing structured, nothing formal, just a comfortable, casual afternoon in which a dear friend invited us over to teach my daughter basic chords on her guitar so she could start strumming along to her favorite songs. My daughter, who is just a few weeks from her 10th birthday, is a singer (as in all day every day singing) so this approach seems like a great fit for her. I am so grateful to have a friend who is so kindly sharing her talents with us in this way.

Needless to say, I planned on taking a few pictures of her lesson. It’s a milestone after all. As I shot 2 of three shots I put my camera away.  But, then I remembered Disney Story app and thought what a fantastic Story her first lesson would make. I find it really ironic that anything, especially an app could actually inspire me to shoot more than I already do but it did. And I captured moment after moment of that hour and even captured a snippet of a video (something I rarely do). And now that I have these photos in a Story I can it share it with the grandparents and with my sweet friend so she can be a witness to how happy she made my daughter! And, one day when my daughter’s a famous singer songwriter we’ll have this pivotal, musical moment to look back on.
