Anti-Rape Protests in Bangalore.

This is a terrible subject to discuss. The rape crisis in India hell, the rape crisis everywhere is horrible and tragic and infuriating.

But there are signs that, slowly, things are beginning to change.

The brutal gang rape of a 23 year old student last year has raised awareness about this issue and people are discussing it and protesting and maybe, just maybe, there is hope for change.

One of the signs of hope is this amazing video that has gone viral called, “It’s Your Fault” and mocks the attitude that women are to blame for rape in India (“Are you a woman?” is one question, as is, “Who gives birth to boys? Women, so it’s your fault.”).

I know it’s hard to believe, but this video cheers me and gives me hope that maybe, just maybe, things will change for women in India.
